A Bumpy Welcome

In Blackwood Resort Episode 1, Oliver finally reaches the island with Stacy and Samantha. The resort trainer picks them up at the airport, but the car is already short on space once the bags are loaded. Samantha ends up sharing Oliver's seat in the back, while Stacy rides in front. The road is full of potholes, and each jolt makes a perfectly ordinary transfer more uncomfortable. By the time they near the hotel, several moments are hard to explain. How will everyone act once the ride is over?

The humor of this chapter comes from an ordinary inconvenience that nobody can escape. Luggage leaves too little room in the airport pickup, and the rough road makes an already awkward seating arrangement even harder to ignore. The travelers cannot simply step out and reset the conversation.

Oliver's reaction is especially revealing. He arrives eager to enjoy his honeymoon, but the first stretch of the trip gives him little control over what happens.
